Image of the Day: Stunning Burst of Star Creation Beams as Much Light as an Entire Galaxy: "Astronomers using NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope have found a stunning burst of star formation that beams out as much infrared light as an entire galaxy triggered by the collision of two spiral galaxies. The stars are cloaked by dust that renders them nearly invisible in other wavelengths of light."
