Rumbling under the gaze of the cosmic Milky Way this spectacular lightning storm is a sight to behold.
Photographer Randy Halverson, 43, stalked the shadowy cornfields of Kennebec, South Dakota, in the U.S. to get the best possible pictures of these amazing starry-stormy nights.
In one breath-taking shot Randy was able to capture the stars of the Milky Way shining like jewels in the sky as a 60mph lightning storm seemingly set the horizon on fire.
