Scientists confirm role for mysterious cell component -- the nucleolinus
Scientists confirm role for mysterious cell component -- the nucleolinus: "The nucleolinus is a structure observed in the nucleus of many cells, including invertebrate egg cells and some mammalian cells. While it was discovered more than 150 years ago, and other scientists have proposed that is involved in cell division, difficulties in visualizing the nucleolinus inside most cells have kept that hypothesis dormant."
