Western US water crisis worse than thought - Telegraph: "The water crisis in the south west of the US is likely to worsen according to a new study carried out by the American space agency and University of California.

The Colorado River Basin lost nearly 53 million acre feet of freshwater over the past nine years, according to a new study based on data from NASA’s GRACE mission

Research has found that the Colorado River Basin, the prime source of water in the region, is being sucked dry."
